Art Classes op de CBIA in Kathmandu

The thought of the day:
To see is an Art!!

Inspired by Kornél, Lian and the artist.

What is art? I asked my students. Art is drawing pictures, a kind of talent, to get money, for entertainment, about feelings, something you do with your head, to teach to others....

For me is art a conversation with myself, within myself or with something outside. It is about expressing feelings. And very important: you can not do it wrong. It is experimenting and playing with materials. That is what I did with the students!!

A conversation with yourself and something outside. To talk with eachother in silence.
How did the conversation go?
Thinking about: working together, difficult not to talk, angry because the other did something you did not like, following the other, being the leader, challenging the other.

A conversation with yourself within yourself. With closed eyes, and a charcoal in each hand. Closed eyes because you can feel better, but if you don't like it you can look in front of you. But don't look at your hands. Your hands wants to control, it doesn't have to be anything. Just follow your movement within.

After playing and experimenting with the charcoal, we play with lines in color, using your imagination. Or imagine you go in a time machine, where will you be after 20 years, what are you doing, what do you want to do?

In the meantime volunteers with a medical education were doing a medical check up with the kids.

Some teachers were curious about the art lessons, I hope they got inspired and will give it forward.
